RUGBY ROUND-UP: Brock at the double as Barnstaple thrash Amersham
Linford Brock winged in for a couple of tries as Barnstaple thumped Amersham 52-8.

Amersham just about held Barnstaple in the first half – it was 18-3 to the visitors at the break – but in the second they were blown away. "We had too much for Amersham almost everywhere," Barnstaple's director of rugby Kevin Squire said. "Our players were younger, fitter and better drilled than theirs.
"When we played through the phases, by the time we got to five or six, Amersham were all over the place. The young side we have got together are showing an adaptability and enthusiasm for the game."

Josh Squire, son of Kevin, finished the game with 24 points from a try, two penalties, a drop-goal and five conversions. Other tries were put away by Tom Skelding, Toby Willimson and James Lewis.
Brixham, unbeaten in their first two games, were given a rude awakening at Redingensians, who defeated them 19-8.
"We held them to five-all in the first half, but were starved of ball in the second, which made life difficult," assistant coach Ian Morgan said.
"Redingensias play relentless rugby – always pressing, never letting up – and they will be the team to beat in this division."
Kyle Brown ran through for a first-half try for Brixham. Ben Lovell kicked a penalty after the break.
Newton Abbot lost 35-28 to London Irish Wild Geese, another side tipped to feature among the pace-setters this season.
"No disrespect to anyone else we have played, but they were the best side we have seen," Newton's director of rugby Roy Henderson said.
"The result was disappointing, but not the performance. We could not have done much better than we did – and we came away with two bonus points."
Matt Templeman, Lloyd Radford, with a brace, and Josh Smith grabbed Newton's tries, while Rob Avery-Wright kicked a conversion and two penalties.
Exmouth delivered what coach Jon Hill asked for when they won 35-31 away to Old Patesians.
Hill had roasted the players behind the dressing-room door after their defeat to Newton Abbot seven days earlier and was looking for a response.
"It was very important we showed a dramatic improvement in our performance from Newton Abbot, which was unacceptable, and we did just that in many aspects," said Hill.
Tries were shared between kicker Andrew Powell, Dave Bargent, Jack Westlake, Jack Downie and Mark Wathes.
Taunton won for the first time this season in National Two South when they overcame Dings Crusaders 18-16.
The Titans went about winning the hard way as they blew numerous chances and went down to 13 men in the last 15 minutes due to sin-binnings.
Dings went 16-11 up while Taunton were a man down, but a try by No.8 Greg Charlton converted by Brett Turner nosed the Titans ahead in the last few moments. Earlier, Mike Pope crossed in the corner and Turner hoofed two penalties.
