THE South West finalists have been announced in the 2010 Countryside Alliance Awards.

They include Strand Stores in Culmstock in the village shop and post office section.

The awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate the characters, skills, traditions and enterprise of the countryside through "the people who work so hard to make it tick". Each finalist has received numerous nominations from customers.
