Residents "totally against" part-night street lighting
POLSLOE residents are overwhelmingly against the introduction of part-night street lighting.
Richard Westlake, county councillor for the ward, has been canvassing residents on the issue, and has found 95 per cent against.

Switching off street lights in residential areas between 12.30am and 5.30am is Devon County Council policy, and has already been introduced in several towns and villages.
Cllr Westlake said: “I have asked quite extensively about this, and 95 per cent are totally against all the lights being switched off, while some say they don’t mind a trial of dimming the lights.
