COMMUNITY-RELATED issues, such as speeding, are continuing.

We are aware that many residents want a long-term solution to the problem.

There has been one burglary and one attempted burglary in Budleigh Salterton. We would remind residents to ensure that if they are out they use timer switches for lights.

Local police officers can inspect your property for free and give advice on crime prevention.

Reports of criminal damage are minimal. This has been achieved through patrolling and community vigilance. Groups, including Neighbourhood Watch, play a vital role in preventing crime.

New members are needed to form watch groups as there are still many areas of the community which don't have them.

Community messaging and Farm Watch are being used to get important information to the community.

Policing surgeries are held regularly for residents to let us know what they feel we should be doing.

Our policing style should reflect, and be driven by, the community so please get in touch. You may not be aware that your local team has its own website. To find it, go to the main Devon and Cornwall police site and type your postcode in the box.
