Review: Kaiser Chiefs at Exeter’s Great Hall
After three years of musical abandonment at Exeter’s Great Hall the doors were finally unlocked and flung open for nothing less than a Riot of hits by the great British Punk Rock band “The Kaiser Chiefs”.
The Hall has a history of top Pop rock acts such as The Artic Monkeys, Radiohead, U2 and Pink Floyd to mention a few, and this energy fuelled anarchistic band did a fantastic job of resuscitating Exeter’s Great hall even though founding member songwriter and drummer Nick Hodgson left the band in late 2012.

Review: Kaiser Chiefs at Exeter's Great Hall
The Leeds formed band who have won three Brit awards including best band and NME best Album of the year sold out the 1800 capacity venue .
Chilled frontman Ricky Wilson placed one foot on the stage speaker lent into the crowd and declared how Fu@k!ng great it was to be in Exeter. With family members in the arm waving hyped up crowd he got stuck into Never Miss A Beat and the Exeter audience did themselves proud with a very worthy vocal response . Ricky encouraged the crowds vocals not only from the stage but also from an impromptu act high on the balcony.

The 1800 audience buzzed as the Chiefs played out to Ruby and I Predict a Riot. Kaiser Chiefs spent one night in Exeter but I’m sure the people of Exeter will remember this still inspired British act for a long while to come.
