Following the demise of tender writing firm Ways2win, its brand and intangible assets have been bought by former competitor Executive Compass for an undisclosed sum.

While none of the former employees has been rehired, the company has said it intends to set up a South West office in the near future to manage all new and existing Ways2win clients. It will also be appointing a full-time account manager to run the business.
Based in the North East, Executive Compass is in its third year of trading, with clients across the UK and Ireland, predominantly in London and the Midlands.

Previous Ways2win proprietor Wendy Wills said: "It is with sadness that Ways2win had to close its doors, but we very much wanted to provide our clients with an alternative, professional support outlet so that they did not feel directionless in very competitive times."
She added: "I gladly endorse Executive Compass's professional and capable winning tender writing expertise for the continuation for our clients' support requirement in winning contracts."
Originally trading as Wills2Win, the company rebranded as Ways2Win in 2009. Its Procurement Connection events, at venues including Sandy Park, attracted hundreds of businesses who came to meet buyers representing councils, the NHS and other public sector bodies in the region.
With offices in Pynes Hill, the company had around five staff. Its database of clients across the UK has been bought by Executive Compass, along with the Ways2win website.
Amanda Tate, head of marketing at Executive Compass, said the company planned to continue running 'Meet the Buyer' events in the South West under the Ways2win brand.
She added that demand for tender consultancy services remained healthy.
"We are quite busy at the moment," she said.
Executive Compass, which claims to have won over £510m of contracts for its clients via the pre-qualification questionnaire and tendering process in the last 12 months alone, is optimistic that acquiring the assets of Ways2win will bring a significant boost to its business.
Neil Capstick, director of Executive Compass, said: "We are delighted to be able to ensure the continued support and future success of Ways2win clients and look forward to working with them."
