Brand new rock musical The Devil in Disguise storms the stage in Silverton from 16-18 February featuring an album of classic tracks.

The Silverton Drama Group rocks out at the Community Hall in the Mid Devon village and features popular songs from the likes of AC/DC, The Rolling Stones and Elvis Presley.

The Devil makes an appearance, naturally, accompanied by some scary cackling witches and the musical follows Him on a humorous and locally-themed journey for salvation.

Director Portia Smith said: “It’s really a team effort. We have come up with a totally original script and characters, including vampires, werewolves, zombies and witches, who the Devil meets while searching for the meaning of his existence.

“A live band will be backing the performers so it will be a great evening’s entertainment.”

There are four chances to see the musical. The first night is Thursday 16th February at 7.30pm, with one performance on Friday 17th at the same time and on Saturday 18th there will be a matinee at 2.30pm and the evening performance at 7.30pm.

The final show will be followed by a disco and dancing with fancy-dress prizes.

Tickets, priced £7 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family of four, are available from Silverton’s Spar, the Lamb Inn and Post Office, or on the door.
