Rogers unlucky but finishes ninth
LEE Rogers' bad luck continued with more mechanical problems in the final two rounds of the Donington Park Challenge Cup last weekend.
The Exeter-based pickup racer damaged an axel as he made his way off the grid for the first race's warm-up lap and his vehicle could not be repaired in time.
But he overcame a lack of power due to a new exhaust system to finish ninth in the second race of the day in the 2011 www.pickuptruckracing.com championship.
The pickup truck championship now changes from road circuits to the 1.5-mile banked superspeedway oval at Rockingham on July 2, where Rogers will attempt to push for the oval championship honours.
