SEVEN-MILE DETOUR TO GET TO THE SHOPS
CULLOMPTON residents were driven to distraction by a seven-mile detour just to reach the town centre.
People living in Rivermead and Chestnut Avenue were blocked in by a number of road closures and had to drive to Fore Street via Aller Wood an Honiton Road.
Pauline Hammett, a councillor from Rivermead, said: "A couple of times we were completely blocked in and couldn't even get to Aller."
