School's hockey boys are under-16 national champions
A TEAM from Exeter School have just been crowned the new under-16 National Indoor Hockey Champions.
Having already won the title of West of England Champions at the end of last year, the boys travelled to Croydon last weekend to contest the national finals against nine school teams from the other regions.

The team beat Dr Challoner's High School 3-2, Egglescliffe School 5-1 and then played tough games against Repton School and The Perse School.
Having successfully reached the semi-final against tournament favourites Whitgift School, a long break gave the team a chance to prepare for the game which was fast and furious but Nick Fennell ensured they progressed to the final with a penalty corner deflection goal to make it 2-0.

A second meeting with Repton in the final could have been difficult, but Exeter's growing self-belief made the result a foregone conclusion.
A school spokesman said: "Captain Will Marsh led by example and a Matt Marsh strike secured the win 3-1 to become the National Champions.
"Worthy praise and congratulations came from players, umpires, coaches and spectators."
