BRITISH international Karla Drew cleared a season's best of 1.70m to win the high jump at the Midland Counties Indoor Championships.

It was one of three victories for the 20-year-old from Heavitree in an event which also incorporated the South West Championships.

She also won the senior women's 60m hurdles and the long jump.

Exeter Harriers' Tabitha Vaughan, 15, ran PBs in both the under-17 women's 300m (52.55secs) and the 800m (2.49.96).

In her first indoor competition of the year, fellow 15-year-old Beth Skinner finished seventh in the long jump (4.91m).

In the senior men's 800m, Exeter University student Daniel Strang ran a PB of 2.00.59 and 19-year-old Alex MacGregor had a busy weekend tackling three events, the best of which was third place in the long jump.

Competing in her first senior championships at the Aviva World trials in Sheffield, 17-year-old Harrier Jenny Robinson ran 9.00secs in the heats of the 60m hurdles, just 0.11secs outside her personal best.

Harriers clubmate Sophie Skinner ran 9.06secs in the same event.
