Seek advice at an early stage
The group organises quarterly domestic abuse forums where various agencies and groups come together to discuss ways of addressing the issue.
In addition, various initiatives are launched throughout the year to raise awareness of domestic violence and the help that is available.
Gerry Moore, community safety officer for the partnership, said: "Domestic violence is a priority for the partnership. Research over a number of years suggests that women often don't report abuse until it's happened 35 times.
"There are many reasons for this but often when it's within a relationship, there is so much to consider, including what will happen to children, pets and the home.
