EXMOUTH'S Magnolia Centre went Fairtrade crazy when it for a Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

The event, organised by Fairtrade Exmouth, saw dozens of cups of Fairtrade tea poured, leaflets given out and samples tasted.

To get into the spirit, some of the Fairtrade group's younger members wore costumes from Alice in Wonderland, inspired by the release of the new Tim Burton film.

Group secretary Peter Brain said: "The tea party went very well and we got through more than 100 cups of tea and gave away around 350 flyers as well as samples of tea bags.

"Around 370 people visited the shop, and visitors were given samples of tea, chocolate and coffee."
