Snow and ice warning for Devon as temperatures drop
A warning of icy weather has been issued for Devon for tonight and tomorrow morning.
The yellow-graded warning, the lowest kind issued by the Met Office, has been put in place for the majority of the region from 9pm this evening until 10am tomorrow.

Forecasters are expecting temperatures to drop below zero overnight and confirmed there is a possibility of snow on higher ground across the region.
There is a possibility of 2cm-5cm of snow in many areas.

Devon County Council is expecting road surface temperatures in parts of the county to drop below zero overnight, meaning there could be ice.
A spokesperson for the met office said: “Showers coming southeast across the area tonight will fall as snow above about 200m, where more than 5cm is possible locally. More significant is the risk of icy roads as surfaces freeze behind the showers.
