THREE-TIME world champion and a five-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist Liam Tancock heaped praise on those sports stars short-listed for accolades at the Exeter Sports Awards.
The Exeter-born swimmer couldn't be at the event due to his busy training schedule for this year's World Championship, but took time out to send a video message in which he labelled 2012 as a fantastic year for sport in the region.

At the awards there was also an auction and raffle, which the money raised from will got to benifit the Express & Echo and Exeter City Council Sports Foundation.
Tancock, wwo is president of the foundation, said: "The foundation will provide money each year to help sports men and women and clubs in Exeter and the surrounding area as well as helping provide decent sporting facilities for the community to use."
