Spicing up player-fan relations
NEWTON Abbot's first XV players have been given an offer they can't refuse – the chance to skip training and go for a curry instead.
Every year the club holds a sportsmen's dinner at the Eastern Eye restaurant in Queen Street, which is a chance for supporters to meet the players in convivial surroundings.
Thursday, November 29 has been set aside for the night out, which gets under way at 7pm.
Tickets are £20 each – tables of 10 are £200 – and included are poppadoms, starters, a selection of Indian dishes and a pint of lager. To book a ticket or a table, contact organiser Phil Burford on 07836 517816 or via email to pburford@epwin.co.uk.
