Super veg is secret ingredient to Grecians' success
EXETER City have revealed one of the secrets behind their excellent start to the season – beetroot.
The club has struck a deal with city-based drinks manufacturer Cobell to supply players with the first 100 per cent natural sports performance drink called PWR+. And one of the key components of the brand new beverage is... beetroot juice!

PWR+ has already been trialled by the Exeter Chiefs and now the Grecians are the first football club in the UK to take advantage of its benefits.
The drink was inspired by research at Exeter University into the benefits of the juice in improving performance.

As experts in sourcing, processing and blending fruit, Cobell managed to create a drink which combines beetroot with sour cherry juice, coconut water and blueberries. Nick Sprague, of Cobell, said a lot of research had gone into creating the drink.
"We spent a great deal of time and effort making sure we created the right formulation. We now believe we have the right product and know it works."
