TA ads from Afghanistan
CITY soldiers are taking part in one of the biggest armed forces recruitment drives the region has seen in years.
Several Territorial Army units from across the South West, including Exeter-based 6 Rifles, are involved in the event this week to raise the profile of Army reserves.
Scores of reservist soldiers will take to the streets of Exeter on Saturday, February 23, to encourage people to join the TA.
The event coincides with the launch of ground-breaking live TV adverts from Afghanistan, broadcast across the country.

The ads will show TA soldiers going about their everyday duties as reservists in the war-zone alongside their regular counterparts. The campaign aims to illustrate the range of opportunities available to reservists and encourage more people to consider joining the TA, which is increasing in number to 30,000 by 2018.
