TIVVY TALKS FOR GERRING
TIVERTON Town boss Martyn Rogers is in talks with former Plymouth Argyle youth player Ben Gerring with a view to signing the young defender.
The 19-year-old was released by the Championship club recently and Rogers is keen to have a look at what he Gerring may be able to add to his squad.

Gerring has been playing for Liverton United in the South West Peninsula League over the last few weeks to maintain his match fitness. Rogers hopes the teenager will provide him with a fresh option at the back.
"I had a phone call from Paul Sturrock saying Ben had been released by Plymouth and we're going to get him in and have a look at him," said Rogers.
"I've seen him play once before and he was impressive but obviously we need a closer look. He's another player we can try out and see if he brings anything different.
"Otherwise I like the look of the squad at the moment. We've more or less got a settled team and the attitude is spot on."
Tivvy host Nuneaton Town on Saturday looking to complete their first Southern League Premier Division game since December 12.
The Yellows were left frustrated on New Year's Day when their game at Chippenham Town was abandoned at half-time due to icy conditions.
Rogers was relieved that his side survived the 45 minutes without sustaining any injuries and he turns his focus to this weekend's match.
Nuneaton are fourth in the table, a full 16 places above Tiverton, but Rogers insists the game is a must-win for his men.
"They're one of the better teams in the league," he admitted. "But we need to get maximum points because the sooner we get away from the bottom, the better.
"We're down there fighting for our lives and we don't want to get sucked into that relegation zone for the rest of the season."
