Brave teddy bears attended a parachuting training day at Danes Castle Fire Station courtesy of Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire service mascot Blaze Bear accompanied the teddies as they were lifted 100ft high on The Vema, a brand new aerial appliance.

The teddies are preparing for the city's second teddy bear parachute jump event, which will take place on Cathedral Green on Saturday, October 13, from 11am until 3pm. This year all four Rotary Clubs of Exeter are involved in organising the charity event.

Proceeds will be divided between the Exeter Cathedral Third Millennium Campaign and the Bramble children's ward at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
