Thomas nets twice in cup win
LAURA Thomas scored twice as Isca progressed to the third round of the EHB Under-18 Cup after a 2-1 defeat of Taunton Vale.
Neither side were able to create many chances, but Thomas opened the scoring as she tapped home a cross.
Isca's defence was excellent throughout, but they were beaten shortly after half-time by a Taunton counter-attack, setting up a tense final 20 minutes.
Taunton attacked in numbers, being denied only through excellent work by Isca's defence and midfield.

Thomas finished off an excellent passing move to score the winner.
The first of this season's mini festivals was held in the sunshine at the University of Exeter's sand and new water pitches on Sunday.
Isca entertained over 20 boys teams and as many girl competitors at under-12s and under-10s age groups.
The host club's boys performed well. A very young under-10s team were unbeaten and displayed some mature passing hockey.
The under-12s, including several under-10s players, were also unbeaten. The game of the day was a draw against Ashmoor.
