Exciting news for young detectives & explorers! Inspired by the fact that songs have been used to encapsulate history over the centuries, The Carousel Project is running a two week block of activities working with archaeologists and musicians to explore the watery theme of Exe Bridges. Did you know Romans were once in our midst, Vikings sailed up the River Exe and our medieval Exe Bridge was probably the third stone bridge to be completed in England? We'll be singing watery songs, making fish & fishing in the river and exploring boats which once sailed up the Exe. Families and their young children will enjoy a unique two-week block of heritage themed workshops on mondays 9.30-10.30am on the 11th & 18t March at St Thomas Church Hall, Church Road, Exeter. Age guide: 2-4 years. £2.50 per family.
