Tiverton child abuse trial begins
A FORMER builder's merchant abused three children over six years while babysitting or watching television with them, a jury has been told.
Jeffery Pincombe, 64, allegedly touched one eight-year-old girl while he was sat on a sofa watching a Grand Prix race with her, Exeter Crown Court was told.
He is alleged to have assaulted others in a bathroom or their bedrooms while visiting their homes or looking after them.
The girls were aged between eight and 14 and the alleged offences all took place at different addresses in Tiverton between 2003 and 2009.

The court listened to a video recorded statement made by the youngest of the three girls who reported the alleged abuse which she says began while aged eight.
The trial continues.
