Tiverton sex assault trial date

A DATE has been set for the trial of a Tiverton man accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

Richard Fleming, 45, made no plea when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court accused of committing the offence at an address in the town last year.

Fleming, of Bampton Street, Tiverton, spoke only to confirm his name during the hearing, at which a timetable was set out.

Judge Francis Gilbert, QC, granted Fleming bail and set a date of March 26 for a plea and directions hearing with a trial date in July.
