TIVERTON Town yesterday issued 1,500 tickets for local school children to enjoy Martyn Rogers' 1000th game celebrations for free.

Under-18s in the Tiverton area have been invited to Saturday's game against Brackley free of charge.

The generous move is likely to bolster the numbers of fans at Ladysmead wishing to celebrate Rogers' milestone.

And the long-serving Tivvy chief is hoping the majority of children who received the tickets will show up for a good day out.

"Hopefully lots of the kids will be interested in coming down," said Rogers.

"I'm sure they'll enjoy it and it would be great to have their support.

"We're grateful to the schools for helping us out with the scheme."

Tickets are still available for under-18s who haven't been able to obtain a ticket through a school or college from the club's reception during this week.
