Topsham Museum is revamped and ready for season
REVAMPED displays will welcome visitors to Topsham Museum as it opens for the new season on Wednesday.
The museum has had a busy winter despite being closed, with the Sail Loft roof being replaced and exhibits improved. It reopens on
The main exhibition will celebrate Topsham Sailing Club's 125th anniversary. The club's new Commodore Doctor Kate Hattersley will open the exhibition on Wednesday at 7pm.
Charles Potter, from the museum's audience development team, said: "A team has worked on making all this something to remember with pictorial records through the decades and copies of early minute books on show. There is even a heron on display in the garden."
The Vivien Leigh Room has been tidied up and additional features will be on show.
Smaller exhibitions have been arranged for the season, starting off with paintings by Cynthia Rowan. This will continue until Monday, May 10, when the Royal Albert Memorial Museum will display The Global Gardeners' exhibition.
