Topsham
Tom Milburn, Green: I have worked for the city council for four years and now work full-time for the UNISON union. I am a passionate campaigner on anti-war issues, human rights, animal rights, and equality. I believe as a green councillor I can help provide a new approach to local government
Rob Newby, Conservative: I have represented Topsham on Exeter City Council for the last eight years. I am a former firefighter and now serve on the planning and licensing committees. As part of my duties I have been proactive in joining the police on patrol in the city centre during the evenings and nights to see the effects of binge drinking and how the emergency services are coping.
Caroline Nottle, Lib Dem: I am 24, married to Chris and have two children aged two and one. If elected I pledge to listen to and represent the views of the strong community of Topsham. Currently there are no young working mothers on the city council. I believe that I would be a breath of fresh air and one who understands the needs of young working families.
Eliot Wright, Labour: As a Labour councillor for Topsham, I would shift the emphasis of political activity from concentrating on the concerns of individuals who are very active in the community to assessing the needs of less vocal residents of Topsham who do not have the confidence to express their concerns and aspirations.
