VIDEO: Car destroyed and six other vehicles damaged by fire in Exeter city centre

A car was gutted by fire at the Magdalen Street car park at the junction of Western Way and South Steet in Exeter city centre.

As these dramatic pictures and video shows, the silver Vauxhall was completely destroyed by the fire.

The car was completely gutted by the fire and a further six vehicles were also damaged by heat transfer.

There were fears that the fire would spread, but firefighters managed to isolate the car and contain the blaze.

Firefighters are still on the scene. 

Eyewitness Conor Rowe, who shot the video, said: "I was on my way into town when I saw flames coming from a car in the car park. The fire service were there already and got the job done."
