VIDEO: Exeter Harrier Karla Drew sets five personal bests
Exeter Harrier Karla Drew set five personal bests on her way to winning the senior women’s England pentathlon championships in Sheffield on Saturday.
She recorded a PB time in the 60m hurdles of 8.43secs and then followed it up with record breaking performances in the high jump 1.77m, shot put 11.40m, long jump 5.68m and 800-metre sprint in 2.22.58.

It saw the Sheffield Hallam University psychology student, from Exeter, claim 4,136 points overall.
This was also a personnel best total and 139 points ahead of her nearest competitor. The win saw Drew move to 13th in the all-time ranking and also qualify to represent Team GB in Valencia at the end of this month.
