VIP prize for festive verse
FAMILIES can win a VIP 'Christmas at Killerton' by writing a poem about why the occasion is so special to them.
The deadline for the competition is November 12 and the winners will be invited to Killerton House, Broadclyst, in the first weekend of December.
The National Trust estate will adopt the theme of Twelve Days of Christmas this year, complete with pipers piping, lords-a-leaping and sparkling festive displays across the grounds.
Visitor services officer Felicity Boucher said: "As it's a bigger, bolder and more colourful Christmas than has been attempted before at Killerton, we are keen to have a family try it out first hand and then use their experience to help tell others what's on here during the festive season."
