Vitriolic reaction to fox attack
IT seems from Mrs Y Street's recent letter that she is mainly concerned about the recent fox attack on two London babies because she sees it as somehow threatening the Hunting Act, Should 'fox control' mean hunt review? June 6.
Maybe some anti-hunt activists should review their behaviour as a result of this case.
The incident has led to such an outpouring of vitriol against the family on the internet that a police guard has been placed on the house.
It has been claimed that they have been paid by the Tories to make the whole thing up.
Rock star Brian May's comments expressing disbelief did not help, and there were some extremely unpleasant comments made on his 'Save Me' Facebook group.
One of the most absurd claims was that it was the parents' fault for leaving a window ajar on a stuffy night. I live in the country surrounded by wildlife — do I really have to keep all my windows tight shut?
People should stop this vitriol and express sympathy for the poor parents and children.

“It's sick and disgusting how people like you constantly use this tragedy to promote your own cause, ie hunting. All you are doing here is trying to demonise people who don't agree with your views. How many letters have you wrote on this incident? Must be 1000's!”

“"do I really have to keep all my windows tight shut?"
Yes. If you do not want animals or people climbing in to rob you, yes, you probably do.
Especially in Hackney.”
