Want to pose for an Elvis picture? It's now or never!
DESPITE my now working six days a week, I managed to find time to explore Devon last weekend. After Saturday's radio show we set off for the 'moors' and a late breakfast at a cafe in Moretonhampstead. Passing Dunsford, we saw some activity on the clock tower and delayed our full English to watch a charity abseil.
Eventually, Stacy and I sat down for brekkie at about midday. Not bad considering that, according to recent reports, around two-thirds of us miss out on breakfast altogether. We enjoyed it despite another study that said eating just one sausage or two rashers of bacon a day raises the risk of diabetes.

WOODEN ART: Nino in Padstow
While I am looking out for your health, scientists have also revealed the four things they say are "fatal behaviours" which increase your chances of dying. They are smoking, lack of physical activity, poor diet and alcohol! Is standing in front of a moving bus a fatal behaviour? If so, I've found a fifth.
Last week's column came with a picture of me 'doing an Elvis'. This is a pose I've done for years and stems from a time when I felt self conscious in front of the camera.
My photo album has many Elvie shots of me from all around the world and I thought it would be fun if we all had a go this summer.
Wherever you are, home or abroad, we want to see you 'doing an Elvis'. Be it by a national monument, on a London bus, wherever.
I just felt that it looked so much better than just standing in front of a wonderful landmark or spectacular view, pointing or looking like you've missed the last bus.
Summon up your inner Elvis next time you're in front of the lens. Just lift your collar, undo the button on your sleeve, bend one leg as if to twist out a cigarette butt and uh-huh-huh Elvis! If you can, find a makeshift microphone such as a hair brush, spoon or bottle.
I'll post your photos both on my blog page and the Exeter FM website, plus we'll show the best ones here in the Express & Echo. Send them either as a jpeg to nino@ninofiretto.com or by post to Elvis Exeter FM, 6a Cranmere Court, Matford Business Park, Exeter EX2 8PW.
Put your name and phone number. Remember, we won't be able to return your photos.
I'm off to the county show now. Maybe I'll see Elvis? Ciao!
