NICK Baker, presenter of the BBC's Really Wild Show, is backing a school in its bid to secure £39,000 to install solar panels.

Nick, who lives in Chagford, is getting behind Chagford Primary School which wants to put 64 photovoltaic (PV) solar panels on two roofs.

This will reduce fuel bills and carbon emissions and create a sustainable source of energy.

Nick said: "What better place to change to renewable energy than at a school? Especially this one, which is embedded in the heart of the community.

"It would be great if when my daughter, Elvie, goes to school here in a couple of years the panels were up and running."
