DEVON Wildlife Trust is running a training session for people interested in helping to record sightings of whales and dolphins on the south Devon coast.

The training takes place on Saturday , from 10am at the Eddystone Inn, in Heybrook Bay.

The session will be open to anyone who can spare time each week to go spotting.

Devon Wildlife Trust's Lauren Davis, who is running the event, said: "On the day we will be providing training on identifying the various species, which requires some practice."

No previous experience is required. Volunteers will need to have their own transport and a pair of binoculars and will be able to choose which stretch of the south coast they want to monitor.
