Witheridge rowers smashed charity target
ORGANISERS of a charity rowing event in Witheridge say the event raised £2,800 for Cancer Research.
A total of 258 miles were rowed non-stop by 80 residents who took part in the 12-hour rowing machine relay in the square on August 15.
Pupils from East Worlington Primary School were among those who completed 15-minute stints with participants each receiving a T-shirt and water bottle for their efforts.
The initial target had been to raise £1,000 for the cancer charity.
