TWO Exeter women, Rebecca Watts and Victoria Carnall, are to abseil 220ft down the side of one of England's highest waterfalls.

The pair will take on the Canonteign Falls, near Christow, on the weekend of March 27 and 28 to raise money for Kidney Research UK.

Rebecca decided to take the challenge because someone very close to her found out they had kidney failure just over a year ago. For Victoria it will be the second time she has abseiled down the falls.

She said: "The whole experience first time was a fantastic thrill and I cannot wait to do it again.

"I have a friend who lost his kidney due to cancer so I know how important this research is in helping others survive the horrible illnesses.

"Without this research some people might not have the chance to survive. I would really appreciate any support."
