Yellows boss wants clarity
BOSS Martyn Rogers has called on the Southern League to end the speculation and reveal which division Tiverton Town will start next season in.
The Yellows, who are hoping to earn a reprieve from relegation to Division One South & West, expected to learn their fate yesterday.
But at the time of going to press last night the Southern League had still not unveiled the constitution of the divisions for the 2010/11 campaign.
Rogers admitted he was hugely frustrated at the delay and called for clarification sooner rather than later, because his hands are tied until the club's future is resolved.
Rogers said: "It's not good when you're in limbo, especially if you have been given a date by when you are going to hear and then it doesn't come through — it's disappointing.
"I don't know what the reasons for the delay are, but it's difficult because we have never been in this situation before.
"There's so much up in the air. I don't know what to put the season ticket prices at, I cannot talk to players because I don't know what league we are in and I cannot talk money because I don't know what the budget is going to be."
Tivvy finished the Southern League Premier Division season in a relegation spot but are hoping for a reprieve because Merthyr Tydfil are apparently pulling out of the league.
But there are other factors involved for the Southern League to consider, with clubs such as Cambridge City rumoured to be keen on a switch to the Ryman League.
Rogers said: "I feel as though we are relegated unless someone tells us differently. I hope we get a decision this week.
"We want to know for everyone concerned. We have heard so many rumours that until we get something concrete it is hard to say which way it is going to go."
