Three city bands in battle for recording studio prize
THREE city bands will be hoping to hit the right note in an up-and-coming competition.
Go Green Monkey, Half Price Waffles and Sunshine Getaway, who are all from Exeter, make up half of the six finalists in a Devon town's battle of the bands competition.
The Exeter groups will be competing in the grand final of the Okehampton Battle of the Bands on Saturday in the town's Simmons Park at 6pm.
But hoping to steal the top spot from them will be The Sum Of, from Bude, and Jonny Black and The Sam Dowden Band, from Barnstaple.
The successful band will win major prizes including studio time, instruments and the chance to play at the Bristol Colston Hall as support to a top touring band.
Attractions at the event will include a giant bouncy castle and a rodeo bull.
The evening will be rounded off by a full set from the popular Status Quo tribute band Staid as Quo.
Food can be taken to the event or purchased there.
