SO, as expected, this coalition has promised a return to the legalised slaughter of our wildlife. Not only are they going to allow a total cull of badgers in whole counties, like Devon, but they are desperate to bring back legalised hunting to enjoy in their free time.

There is no scientific evidence that badgers are wholly to blame for Bovine TB, only carriers like every other mammal — so after the badgers, they'll move on to the deer, rabbits, bats, then what... your cat?

All this is down to money — the cattle could be vaccinated against TB but you don't see the farmers talking about that option, do you? No, let's pick the easy option!

The coalition has promised the hunters a vote to try to repeal the Hunting Act. This to enable them to legally rip apart our wildlife purely for entertainment. They've even admitted themselves that hunting does not act as 'predator control' — otherwise the hunts wouldn't need to provide breeding earths for foxes, would they? There is no reason to repeal the Hunting Act (that was voted for by the biggest-ever vote, as well as having a huge majority of the population's support), the only reason is to ensure they and their friends do not face prosecution for slaughtering our wildlife.

How many of the public were told of their plans before the election? No, it was kept very quiet to get your vote, now they think they can do as they please.

How many people who voted Lib Dem or Conservative knew that they weren't voting 'for change' but for the country to go back in time — back to cruelty.

If the public don't act now and let the MPs know they don't want this behaviour in this country, it will be too late, our wildlife will be gone! You don't have to get out of your chair — just contact your MP and tell them go to websites like Save Me, Protect Our Wild Animals (P.O.W.A.) and support our wildlife before its gone and they start looking for another victim.
