“If, as they say, this is nothing more than a system to track 'footfall', then what is the problem? If you don't like it, switch your phone off. Mobile phones constantly give out signals which are tracked by the sertvice provider through the masts. Every time you use a credit or debit card, either instore or online, your demographic is being monitored. Like it or not, Big Brother is here to stay.”

“I have never been tracked in this manner because I don't wander around with a mobile phone switched on. I have no doubt that I have been tracked by various cameras. This camera tracking is extremely useful in the search for lost children, wandering oldies with dementia and criminals. I don't come into any of those groups - yet but if I ever do then I hope they will be able to track me. Adding phone signal tracking to this system might one day help "find" me or A N Other so I for one am in favour of it.”
