Hailing from coastal Devon, Brighton-based singer-songwriter James Robinson has been favorably compared to vocalists such as Coldplay's Chris Martin and Jamie Cullum. The son of a writer and a music journalist, James established himself as the charismatic front man of alt-pop band Two Spot Gobi. TSG gave James his first platform to write and perform with other musicians and when spotted by singer Jason Mraz, James and the band were invited to support him on tours in the UK, Europe and the US.

At the beginning of 2012, he started working on material that more closely represents his distinctive musical style and ability to connect personally with people. His new live show features an energetic four-piece band bringing together an eclectic mix of heavy soul and upbeat pop, laced with honest reality in true singer/songwriter style.

With his new EP “Ropes” James showcases a darker, more intimate listening experience, with strong melodies accompanied by raw and honest lyrics
