A festival first for windsurfers

A TEAM from an East Devon school's windsurf club competed at a recent festival.

The club from Exmouth Community College competed in the town's Windsurfing Festival. This is the first year that the college has entered a team and they impressed the fleet, flying round what turned out to be a tricky course with strong tides and a light, variable wind.

Year 9 pupil Dan Williams took first place in the race, sailing on a five-metre rig and Starboard Rio board.
