Fallen heroes

The Fallen Heroes pictured below represent the tragic human cost of the British Forces campaign in Afghanistan since October 2001 and the conflict in Iraq since March 2003.

Servicemen from Exeter who have given their lives in active service in Afghanistan include Trooper Jack Sadler, who died in December, 2007, aged 21. Corporal Jason Barnes died in July 2008, aged 25.

Among the soldiers killed in Iraq are Lieutenant Andrew Wilson, who died in March 2003. He was 36. Corporal John Johnston Cosby, aged 28, died in July 2006. Rifleman Daniel Lee Coffey was just 21 when he died in February 2007. Marine Paul Collins died in May 2007. He was 21.
