Bus driver couldn't help blind person
Thursday, September 25, 2008, 22:30
A blind person boarded the bus and asked the driver if he was going to a particular place.
The driver obviously spoke no English and was unable to assist and, as I was not sure of the exact route the bus was taking, I was unable to assist my fellow passenger, as I too, was unable to communicate with the driver.
The person then had to get off and wait, hopefully that the next bus had an English-speaking driver.
Would Stagecoach kindly explain, through this column, its policy regarding such instances? I am sure they must occur quite frequently.
