Re-enactment of real events

THE Theatre Royal's People's Company is performing Marat/Sade, a dangerous and shocking play-within-a-play, at the Drum Theatre, Plymouth, next week.

The infamous Marquis de Sade directs the inmates of a French asylum in a re-enactment of the real-life events of the assassination of revolutionary Jean Paul Marat by Charlotte Corday during the height of the French Revolution.

The performances run from Thursday, July 9, until Saturday, July 11, at 7.45pm.
