In a flap for fundraiser
A TEENAGER will cause a few heads to turn when he goes on a sponsored roller-blade ride around Exeter – dressed as a chicken.
Chris Ware, 14, from Exmouth, is raising money for a struggling animal sanctuary.
He will be travelling the length of Exmouth Esplanade and back, dressed as a big yellow chicken, to raise much-needed funds for Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary.
Last year Chris cycled 20 miles for a different sanctuary, raising almost £3,000. He said: "I thought a roller-blading bright yellow chicken would be eye-catching."

“I think it's wonderful that a boy of this age is considering other beings and not just himself. So many kids are so selfish these days, it's a breath of fresh air to hear that a youngster is actually bothering to do something worthwhile. Happy to sponsor him, thank you for the web link.”

“Nice to see youngsters aware enough to help those who need helping rather than the more negative news stories we often see.
Hopefully lots of people will sponsor his efforts to help the animals and support kids who do good things for others.”
