Evening kick-off for Mid Devon derby at Speeds Meadow
Cully take on the Peninsula League Division One East side in the second round of the Throgmorton Cup, keen to banish all thoughts of last weekend's 5-0 Premier Division defeat.
Rangers are able to name an identical squad for this evening's tie as they attempt to bounce back as quickly as possible. Lee Annunziata's side have had a mixed season to date, with last week's shock defeat coming on the back of an impressive win over Saltash.
Likewise, John Cornforth's men have experienced plenty of ups and downs already this term and both teams are currently sitting in midtable — albeit a division apart.
But Cully secretary Marcus Scott believes his side need to win to effectively maintain any hopes of lifting silverware this year.
"If we're going to win anything then (the Throgmorton Cup) is our best chance to realistically pick up a trophy," he said. "With everyone available we've got a strong squad and everyone will be determined to put last week behind them.
"We've got the chance to put it right and I'm sure the manager will have the players well prepared."
But Scott, who hopes there will be a large crowd at Speeds Meadow for this evening's fixture, is anticipating a tough match against Rangers' Mid Devon rivals. He said: "They've got some very talented young players and they will get the ball down and play as quickly as they can. They've got an excellent manager who won't leave any stone unturned in trying to get one over on us and we've got the utmost respect for him."
Alphington travel to controversial Peninsula League Division One West side St Austell.
The Cornishmen face an FA rap — and action from the league — after captain Lee Whetter punched an opposition supporter during last week's defeat to Newquay, which led to a mass brawl.
And after the Alphas lost 7-1 last weekend, boss John Moore says both teams will be glad to have a break from the league.
"They had a bad weekend last week and so did we, so it's nice just to have a Saturday off from league football tomorrow," he said.
"We're going down there confidently though, because we've had a good training session and, apart from last week, we're having a good season.
"We're looking forward to it because there's nothing to lose down there — we just want a good performance."
Alphington are boosted by the return of captain Stuart Smith and Exeter City academy player Jayden Mash. But they will have to do without Gary Hayes, Garry Wills and Wes Johnson for the tie.
Exmouth Town are enjoying a superb run in Division One East but will face a difficult challenge against league leaders Appledore.
Teignmouth travel to Premier Division strugglers Holsworthy and Witheridge, who lost 3-2 at Tavistock in the Premier Division on Wednesday night, could find things tough away to the Royal Marines.
