PINHOE Pantomime Society will be performing another of its popular summer shows, entitled And The Beat Goes On.

The plot centres around a wedding venue which has a colourful history spanning many decades.

The audience joins a couple looking for a venue for their wedding, and watches them as the elegant chatelaine takes them on a tour of the property.

The story moves through more than 100 years of history, from Edwardian splendour to a flower-power commune, via tales of a finishing school, army entertainment camp, and years of dilapidation.

Songs on the journey are from an eclectic mix of genres including Three Little Maids, Crocodile Rock, Don't Stop Believing and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Those attending are provided with a meal during the interval on the Friday and Saturday shows, and tea and cakes during the Thursday performance.

Organisers at the Pinhoe Pantomime Society say the show will be an excellent night of entertainment at 'credit crunch beating prices'.

The show will be performed at America Hall in Pinhoe from June 23 to 25 at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.
