HOUSING association Cornerstone has expanded its presence in Mid Devon after exchanging contracts on nine new homes in Crediton.

It has partnered with Mid Devon District Council and the Homes and Communities Agency to provide more affordable rented housing in the town.

The new homes, currently being developed in Alexandra Road, consist of three one-bedroom ground-floor flats, three two-bedroom flats on the first floor and three two-bedroom flats with gardens on the lower ground-floor.

They are due to be advertised from the end of this month.

Anne Seaborne, Cornerstone development manager, said: "We're extremely pleased to have expanded our portfolio in Crediton and hope we can build upon this in years to come, offering local people affordable, high quality homes, in places they want to live."
