St. Sidwells Centre
Thursdays at 7pm-9pm
Are you thinking of changing your drinking or drug use? Is an addictive activity costing you more than money?
We can help you to learn to help yourself change. We are part of a growing UK-wide network of mutual-support groups for people seeking independence from any type of addictive behaviour or addictive activity.
We discourage the use of negative labels such as alcoholic or addict
We share our experiences and success to support each other and you will learn tools and acquire the skills to help you self-manage your full recovery from addictive behaviour
There is no cost to attend our meetings and no referral is required
SMART is a science-based recovery programme that will help you to:
1. Build and maintain motivation to change
2. Cope with urges
3. Manage thoughts, feelings and behaviours
4. Live a more balanced life
SMART UK is in partnership with drugs and alcohol services throughout the UK. Check the meeting list on the SMART UK website.
We also offer an online worldwide community with well over 35,000 registered users where you will find support and information on SMART.
Here, you can access forums where there are people who have used SMART and who you can talk to (via text or headset) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To register for access to message-boards and chat forums simply enter your email address and choose a username.
